Counselling

A little bit about my practice

I offer a free consultation

From experience I have learned the benefits of offering a free consultation prior to committing to therapy. This gives you the opportunity to meet and see how you feel in what is a unique situation. The counselling relationship offers you the chance to explore feelings and behaviours that may be causing you disruption in your daily living, relationships etc.  It's a rare opportunity to stop for a while, and be the centre of the process. It doesn't matter when you decide to have counselling, if it feels like the right thing to do.

Our first session

The first session is your opportunity to describe the specific issues that are presenting in your day to day life. This gives us the opportunity to understand better your needs going forward.

Clients I work with

Adults and young people.

I also offer couples therapy and parents and children.

My therapy practice

I am a person centred therapist which means you as the client are at the centre of the counselling process.

Counselling is about being able to be open with feelings that you may not have expressed before and are afraid of being judged when doing so.

My role is to help you to gain insight into how you feel, so you can explore experiences, relationships and issues with a view to having a better feeling.

Types of therapy I use

  • Brief focused therapy
  • Humanistic
  • Integrative
  • Person centred

How I deliver therapy

  • Long term face to face
  • Short term face to face
  • Video call (Zoom/WhatsApp)
  • Telephone call
